Getting Live on Your Maker Faire Website

Our brilliant Make: web development team did us a favor and created a good-looking and high-functioning WordPress theme.  The Maker Faire Global WordPress theme is on-brand, easy to use, and has a built-in Call for Makers form system.  This form system actually enables you to review, accept and reject makers, AND publish them to a Meet the Makers page and a Schedule page.

Please make sure to spend some time looking through these different sites so you can get ideas on the possibilities.

The Maker Faire Team will reach out to you to provide the latest QuickStart Guide and offer a training session so that you can get started and set up on your site.  If for some reason you have not heard from them, please send a note to makerfaire@make.co.

NOTE that the best place to ask questions and stay on top of discussions around how to use the theme is to join the TOPIC WordPress “topic room” in our Mobilize communication group.

Regarding user permissions: As an administrator for your website, you have ability to add other users to make site edits. When adding other users,  choose whatever the appropriate level of permissions is for their needed access. See details here.
